50-Minute Individual Therapy Session:

$220

friendly-looking woman with long way brown hair, blue eyes and green sweater

Olivia Greenwald, LPCC #18992

Similar to many specialty providers, I am an out-of-network provider and am not currently in-network with any insurance providers. I will provide you with a monthly Superbill upon request for reimbursement.

However, I do provide the option to assist you with filing insurance claims if you’re interested so you don’t have to navigate billing and Superbills on your own.

Many clients find that using their OON benefits allows for greater privacy and flexibility in choosing a therapist who truly fits their needs.

Currently accepting clients in the state of CA

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely!

If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can absolutely use them.

I can either submit claims for you through a service called Thrizer, or provide a monthly superbill that you can send directly to your insurance company.

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company may reimburse you for about 60–80% of session costs once you’ve met your deductible.

I’m happy to check your benefits for you; just have your insurance card (with your Member ID) ready during our free intro call.

If you’d rather confirm directly, call the Member Services number on the back of your card and ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Can I use it for telehealth?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met this year?

    • Do I need a referral to see an out-of-network therapist?

    • What percentage of psychotherapy sessions are covered?

    • What will I be reimbursed for a 45-minute session (CPT code: 90834)?

    • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

    • How long does reimbursement usually take?

You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate as a part of the No Suprise Billing Act. I will provide you with one if you choose to move forward with therapy services with me.

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will typically reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session.

I can check the estimated benefits that your insurance company might be able to reimburse. I can also assist with filing claims for reimbursement. Just ask me about Thrizer!

I encourage you to confirm the exact reimbursement amount with your insurance provider directly. Typically, your insurance card should have a customer service number where you can reach them.

You can ask your insurance company the following questions:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? If so, I able to use these benefits for telehealth?

    • Do I have an out-of-network deductible?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

    • What percentage of outpatient therapy sessions are covered?

    • How much will I be reimbursed for a 45 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?

    • What is the process I need to go through to file a claim for reimbursement?

  • Currently, I am only licensed in the state of California and am only able to see clients who are located within the state of CA.

  • Before beginning sessions together, we can do a free 15-minute intro call to see if we might work well together. Typically on the intro call, we may discuss the following:

    • Why you’re seeking therapy at this time

    • I’ll tell you a bit about myself and what working with me may look like

    • We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, and discuss how to move forward with scheduling appointments if we are a good fit

  • Overall, the answer to this question depends on how quickly you want to start seeing improvements in how you feel.

I meet with most of my clients on a weekly basis. I’ve noticed that it can be easier to meet your therapy goals when meeting weekly compared to on a biweekly or monthly schedule.

I like to encourage all new clients to commit to meeting weekly, for at least the first 4 weeks. This will allow us to identify what you want to work on and get started on making progress toward your therapy goals.

After the first 4 weeks, we will always re-evaluate the appropriate frequency of sessions to best meet your needs and where you’re at in your healing journey.
