Immigration Evaluation Services

Navigating the U.S. immigration process can be emotionally overwhelming, especially when your journey involves trauma, loss, or the risk of being separated from loved ones.

As a licensed mental health therapist, I offer compassionate, in-depth psychosocial evaluations to support a variety of immigration cases, in collaboration with your immigration attorney.

I currently provide evaluations for:

  • U Visa: For individuals who have been victims of serious crimes and have experienced emotional or psychological harm as a result. A mental health evaluation may help support your petition by documenting the impact of the crime on your wellbeing.

  • T Visa: For survivors of human trafficking, where returning to one’s home country may pose serious or unusual harm. These evaluations can provide a clinical picture of the emotional and psychological consequences of trafficking and the risks involved in deportation.

  • Hardship Waivers (Extreme Hardship): A psychosocial evaluation can help show how a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident family member would be emotionally, mentally, and financially impacted by the removal of a loved one. This type of evaluation helps capture the emotional weight and real-life impact of potential separation.

  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act): For individuals who have experienced domestic violence or abuse by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse or family member. This evaluation documents the psychological impact of the abuse and can help support your self-petition under VAWA, regardless of gender.

If you're working with an immigration attorney and wondering whether an evaluation could support your case, I encourage you to reach out. I am committed to helping clients share their stories with clarity, care, and dignity.

Evaluations typically include a comprehensive interview that may be broken up into two parts, a thorough report, and close collaboration with your legal team when needed.
